This session examines the different challenges to social recovery and reconciliation present in divided societies.Â Several examples of initiatives for addressing societal divisions and promting reconciliation will be presented, reviewing their different advantages and disadvantages, looking specifically at international mechanisms to transitional justice as well as localized initiatives for reconciliation.
